Frieda Christopher keeps the behind-the-scenes workings of Cramer Fish
Sciences running smoothly — no small accomplishment in an
interstate consulting firm.
Responsibilities: In addition to ensuring the integrity
of Cramer Fish Sciences' financial functions, Frieda also manages all
human resource functions for the firm. She established the Cramer Team's
group benefits program, wrote the employee handbook, and implemented
workers compensation procedures and reporting requirements.
She also
ensures company compliance with State labor laws, and administers payroll
and employee benefits for employees in Oregon, California and Idaho.
Projects/Services: On the financial side, she
established the firm's accrual accounting system. Today, her
many responsibilities include accounting and financial functions;
cash management; budgeting and financial forecasting; and developing
and reviewing both client and consultant contracts.
Background: She brings to the CFS team skills in
accounting, human resources, computers, and quantitative analysis.
Frieda specializes in budgeting, administering payroll, and managing
human resource activities. In addition to more than 15 years of business
experience in the service, sales, and manufacturing sectors, Frieda also has a bachelor
of sciences degree in information systems and quantitative analysis and an MBA from
Portland State University.

Personal: During her off hours, Frieda splits her time between her
family and her community. She is in her fifth term as a member of the David Douglas
School Board and serves on a citizen advisory board for an Urban Renewal District in
the city of Portland. She also is treasurer for the David Douglas Educational Foundation.
"For relaxation I enjoy spending time with my husband
at our cabin on the north side of Mt. Hood." She also enjoys spending time with her
two sons and their families. "I'm an avid walker and I especially enjoy the fresh air
in the early morning." Frieda also relaxes by reading a good novel and may read up to 100 novels a year. |
