Anna Steirer is an energetic, innovative, and self-starting team player
with extensive software, hardware and design skills. She supports
the Cramer Fish Sciences team and clients using her unique combination
of entrepreneurial spirit, a service-oriented work ethic, and an
excellent ability to multi-task.
Responsibilities/Services: Her extensive career experiences have
enhanced her ability to meet scheduling demands while providing customized
service. Her patience and skill in serving as a liaison among departments
have allowed her to manage the timely production of print and on-line
support materials, presentations, and more for sales, creative services,
biosciences and natural resources firms.
Background: Anna has worked with the National Park Service
and Indiana Department of Natural Resources as an outdoor recreation
planner, producing more than a dozen land-use recreation plans;
coordinating the production of a five-year recreation trends master
plan; producing public service announcements for a national environmental
program; and coordinating agency compliance with disability laws.
She holds a bachelor's degree in Cultural
Anthropology and a Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, both from
the University of Illinois. In addition, she trained in graphic design and
illustration at the UC Berkeley Exchange (San Francisco) and in digital
imaging at the City College of San Francisco. She studied in an Intensive
Spanish program at the Institute of Costa Rican Language and Culture in
Costa Rica, and is also familiar with French.
Personal:
Anna likes to bike, bike, and then bike some more. Did we mention she
likes to bike? She also fancies herself as a closet artiste. Sometimes,
when no one is looking, she gets out the glue gun, sewing machine, and
indelible markers to make trash out of treasures.
Yoga classes keep her limber, which is a good thing. Being a Corporate
Publications Specialist — her guiltiest pleasure — requires
a near lethal amount of flexibility to consistently make order out of visual chaos. |
