B.S. Earth Science; M.S. Coastal Zone Management
Monica is a meticulous permitting biologist with more than 10 years of scientific research experience spanning coastal ecosystem studies, biological and geological oceanography, and environmental compliance across California’s coastal and estuarine systems. She leads and supports multidisciplinary field and analytical projects that advance environmental permitting, endangered species conservation, and habitat restoration for sensitive fish and wildlife species, including Chinook salmon, coho salmon, steelhead trout, green sturgeon, and Delta smelt throughout California river systems. In her role, Monica skillfully integrates rigorous QA/QC protocols, geospatial analysis, and technical reporting to drive informed decision-making in permitting, compliance, and restoration design.
